During the commissioning of the new 24 courtrooms Rivers State Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt, President-elect Bola Tinubu stated that his government would undertake a thorough reform of the judiciary and enhance working conditions to improve service delivery. He acknowledged Governor Nyesom Wike's efforts to combat corruption by promoting better welfare and creating a favorable work environment for the judiciary in the state.

According to Tinubu, Governor Wike's actions in building the new 24 courtrooms Rivers State Magistrate Court demonstrate a different approach to fighting corruption. By providing a suitable work environment, the governor is tackling corruption in a meaningful way. Tinubu emphasized that it is not reasonable to expect judges to deliver justice effectively in unsanitary or inadequate conditions.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of implementing policy changes, including a focus on addressing corruption through better welfare for judges. He highlighted that providing a safe and conducive work environment for judges is crucial for ensuring fair dispensation of justice. Tinubu advocated for a value-based approach to tackling corruption, noting that making consumer credit available can reduce the temptation for corrupt practices when making large purchases.

Tinubu expressed his commitment to ensuring that judges and justices do not engage in corrupt practices that compromise the dispensation of justice. He stated that his team would review policies to address the issue.

Regarding the conflicting statements surrounding Wike's request for a refund of funds spent on upgrading federal roads, Tinubu expressed gratitude to Wike for inviting him and clarified that while he could not make personal commitments, he would focus on policy commitments as the incoming president.

Tinubu emphasized that only one person can hold the office of the President at a time, and as the incoming president, he cannot make commitments on behalf of the outgoing President. He encouraged people to seek education and information on the matter.
