In a ceremony led by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) officially opened a new church building in Abuja called 'Jesus House.' Thousands of RCCG members and dignitaries from different parts of the country attended the grand dedication ceremony held on Saturday.

Situated in the Durumi region of Abuja, the newly constructed church edifice is an impressive five-story structure that has the capacity to hold as many as 3,000 worshippers concurrently.

During the dedication ceremony, Major-Gen. Pat Akem-Vingir (rtd), who serves as the Pastor-in-Charge of the 'Jesus House' parish in Abuja, emphasized the significance of the church in Nigeria's societal and economic fabric. He unequivocally stated that if the church were removed from Nigeria, the country would disintegrate, despite any denial to the contrary. Major-Gen. Pat Akem-Vingir (rtd) also expressed that without the church's presence, the deterioration in the country would be much worse, given that 70% of the population comprises young people who need guidance, purpose, and hope, which the church provides.

During the dedication ceremony, Pastor Adeboye, accompanied by his wife, Pastor Mrs Foluke Adeboye, and the RCCG Continental Overseer, Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, gave a concise speech expressing his appreciation to God for the successful completion of the project.

During the dedication ceremony, Pastor Adeboye expressed gratitude to God for the completion of the magnificent structure and stated his hope that it would serve as a source of hope and a place of worship for generations to come. The event was highlighted by performances from the RCCG choir and speeches from senior officials of the church, Mrs Adeboye, and other distinguished guests.

The dedication ceremony was graced by several notable personalities, including Pastor Marvel Akpoyibo, a retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police and former Lagos State Commissioner of Police. Pastor Marvel Akpoyibo commended the RCCG for its dedication to the spiritual and physical welfare of the people, and regarded the newly completed church building as a testament to this commitment.

The event concluded with a prayer led by Pastor Adeboye, who prayed for the RCCG's continued growth and prosperity, as well as for the well-being of its members and the nation as a whole.

He said, "Our prayer is that everyone who sets foot in this church building will be blessed, and it will continue to serve as a symbol of hope for the troubled and a sanctuary for worship for many generations to come."
