Governor Seyi Makinde of the PDP has been declared winner of the Oyo state governorship election by INEC.

His re-election was announced on March, 19.

According to the results released, Makinde polled a total of 563,756 votes to beat his closest rival, Teslim Folarin of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who pulled 256,685 votes, while he Accord party candidate, Adebayo Adelabu secured 38,357 votes.
