Tiwa Savage, the popular Nigerian music star, has been confirmed to perform at King Charles III's coronation ceremony. 

On Saturday, May 6, 2023, King Charles III will be officially coronated at Westminster Abbey, along with his Queen Consort, Camilla and will be followed by a concert at Windsor Castle on May 7th. King Charles III, who has ascended the throne after the demise of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, last year, will be crowned in a grand ceremony.

Tiwa Savage will share the stage with a lineup of renowned international artists including Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, and Katy Perry.

In a statement to the BBC, Tiwa Savage expressed her enthusiasm, describing it as a great privilege to represent Africa and the Commonwealth at this significant occasion. She eagerly anticipates participating in the festivities and introducing Afrobeats to Windsor Castle for the very first time.

Among the selected African artists to perform at this historic coronation, she is the sole Nigerian representative.
