The PEPC in Abuja rejected Atiku Abubakar's request for live streaming of his petition against the election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president. The court ruled unanimously that the application lacked merit and stated that although the request was innovative, there is currently no legal support for it in the country.

The panel of five judges concluded that Atiku's request was unrelated to his petition before the court. Justice Tsammani expressed concerns that granting the request could turn the court proceedings into a spectacle and should be avoided at this time. Additionally, the judge stated that live telecast of the proceedings would not contribute significantly to the merits of the petition. Ultimately, Justice Tsammani deemed the petition to be without merit and dismissed it.

Atiku requested the court to permit live broadcasting of the daily proceedings regarding his petition challenging the results of the February 25 presidential elections, citing its significant importance. In their application, Atiku and the PDP specifically asked the tribunal for an order on the admission of media practitioners and their equipment into the courtroom, outlining the desired modalities for this.
