Protesters demand the brutal killers of Deborah to be brought out 

Tension feels some parts of Sokoto state on Saturday as some angry residents filled the streets protesting for the arrest of suspect who were involved in the killing of Deborah Samuel over alleged blasphemy 

Deborah Samuel was a student of the Sheri Shagari College of Education, 200 level, she hails from Kebbi state, she was brutally killed by her fellow students for making a statement which to them was blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad 

 

The protesters filled the street with placards written " Release our Muslim brothers", Muslims are not terrorist"

 

This protest was carried out after the governor of the state Aminu Tambuwal had a meeting with the religious leaders regarding the growing tension

 

This whole incident happened when the deceased student posted a voice message on the school WhatsApp group cautioning his colleagues to stop spamming the platform with religious post which they found her voice note offensive and tagged it blasphemy 

 

"The college security personnel has to intervened by whisking her to their office but they were overwhelmed by students, who later killed her and set her body ablaze" report from a newspaper 

 

Social media is on fire as many Nigerias condemns the brutal act of the killers of Deborah and demands justice for the deceased
