After being away in Europe for a month, Tinubu, who had been officially out of the country since March 22, returned on Monday.

At 04:30pm on Monday, the former Lagos State governor's plane landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Accompanied by his wife, Senator Oluremi, he was welcomed by several high-ranking members of the party including Vice-President-Elect Kashim Shettima, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, among others.

A jubilant crowd of supporters wearing party paraphernalia welcomed the President-Elect, while Tinubu, after a short pause to acknowledge their cheers, proceeded to his vehicle.

After questions arose about Tinubu's location, his spokesperson Tunde Rahman announced on March 22 that the President-Elect had gone to Paris, France to rest and observe the lesser hajj. No photos of Tinubu were released during his absence.

Tinubu's health has been a topic of discussion over the past two years. In 2021, he spent over three months in the United Kingdom receiving treatment and therapy for a knee injury. He subsequently made a few trips to the UK and Paris in 2022.
