During a recent interview, the artist responsible for the African sensation 'Limpopo' in 2013, who has now made an impressive comeback to the mainstream music scene after a decade, disclosed the motive behind his well-known facial disguise.

According to KCee, he is undergoing a rebranding process that will introduce listeners to KCee 2.0, drawing inspiration from the renowned Nigerian saxophonist and singer, Lagbaja, known for his distinctive mask.

"In embracing this new phase of my career, I've decided to don a mask and conceal my face. It's a fresh incarnation of Kcee, a new chapter filled with catchy tunes. For nearly 24 to 25 years, you all have seen my face. This time, I've opted to cover it up and imbue it with a Lagbaja 2.0, Kcee 2.0 essence," explained KCee regarding his revamped style.

In his latest release, titled 'Ojapiano,' KCee has skillfully blended the iconic "OJA" flute indigenous to the eastern region of Nigeria with the prevailing Amapiano sound from South Africa.
