In the early hours of Saturday, a group of armed individuals forcefully entered the Mashafa area of Mpape in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. According to our sources, the assailants, during an operation that lasted approximately an hour, kidnapped at least four individuals residing in the area. A local resident named Zack, who preferred to remain anonymous, informed our correspondent that the armed individuals specifically targeted certain residents.

Zack further stated that the armed individuals entered the houses of the victims separately and forcefully took them away. He described the incident, saying, "They arrived early in the morning around 1:00 am carrying advanced weaponry. The sound of their gunfire was extremely loud, and it continued for about an hour. The specific individuals they kidnapped indicate that they had specific targets in mind. They systematically entered each house to apprehend them. Among the kidnapped individuals are an Executive Officer of a logistics company, a manager of a prominent bakery, another individual who manages an Oil dump company, and the final victim who is employed by a construction company."

After reaching out to the FCT spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, she assured our correspondent that she would provide a response. However, at the time of filing this report, she has not fulfilled her promise to do so.
