On Wednesday, Obiageli Ezekwesili, former Minister of Education, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to transfer power to her.

Ezekwesili ironically advised Buhari to promptly relinquish power to her, citing his disappointing performance in office and expressing her readiness to fulfill the expectations of his supporters.

The politician conveyed her message through a series of tweets on her Twitter account. In one of her tweets, she labeled Buhari as an "ineffectual Commander-in-Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces." This declaration comes in the midst of growing concerns among the President's supporters regarding his failure to ensure the security of the nation and its citizens.

She implored the supporters of President Buhari to cast their votes in her favor, emphasizing that she could provide relief to their suffering. In her statement, she tweeted, "Let us demand that the ineffectual Commander-in-Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces @Mbuhari promptly transfers power to me, enabling me to address the outcry from his supporters regarding his disgraceful inability to ensure the security of the nation, its citizens, and residents. I appreciate their vote of confidence in me."
