The Nigeria Army confirmed the death of six soldiers who were killed by terrorist while launching an ambush in Tati community in Takim Local Government Area of Taraba state 

The spokesman Brigadier General Onyema in his statement disclosed that six terrorist were killed during the gunfight that took place

He further said that one of the soldier is nowhere to be found after the attack 

In his statement, they received an alarming call that the community was under attack by the suspected terrorist on Tuesday 

He also said “ while in pursuit of the bandits, troops fell into an ambush staged by the criminals.

“The troops fought fiercely through the ambush neutralizing four of the bandits,” Nwachukwu said

He further said that reinforcement team from six Brigade deployed the fleeing bandits at Ananum village in Dongs Local Government Area of the state, neutralized two additional bandits, and recovered one AK-47 rifle, one pistol, two AK-47, one locally fabricated gun, 19rounds lf 7.62mm special, Magazines, 7rounds of 9mm ammunition and three motorbikes.

He gave Nigerian’s assurance that the troops are in pursuit of the bandits and will leave no stone unturned as they keep searching for the missing Soldier

The residents of the state were urged by the Army to always be vigilant and report any suspicious movement to security agencies
