On Monday, at the highly anticipated Met Gala event in New York, former tennis star Serena Williams made a big reveal - she is pregnant with her second child. Dressed in a black and white gown, Williams expressed her excitement at being invited to the event by Anna Wintour, sharing the news on Instagram just before heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met Gala is considered to be one of the most important nights in the fashion industry.

The pictures depict the 41-year-old tennis legend, dressed in a black and white gown, posing alongside her husband Alexis Ohanian, the creator of Reddit, while tenderly holding her baby bump. Williams and Ohanian are already proud parents to Olympia, who was born in September 2017.

At the US Open last year, Serena Williams, who has won 23 singles Grand Slam titles and several Olympic gold medals over the course of her illustrious career, said an emotional goodbye to tennis.

During that time, Williams expressed her readiness to embrace motherhood and explore a new facet of her life, stating, "I'm ready to, like, be a mom, explore a different version of Serena." In an essay for Elle magazine last year, she recounted the challenges she faced during Olympia's birth, which ultimately required an emergency C-section and resulted in blood clots in her lungs. Williams was not the only one to announce her pregnancy at the Met Gala, as model Karlie Kloss also confirmed her second pregnancy during the event.
