Along Bauchi-Jos highway, an NTA (Nigeria Television Authority) reporter Abdulwab Babankanti, was kidnapped by suspected kidnappers.

According to Babankanti's family member, Babankanti was abducted with other victims on Monday January 30, 2023 at Toro community while on his way from Bauchi to Jos.

The source, "We got to know of their abduction when the kidnappers called to confirm that they kidnapped them" 

He added that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N10m before they will be freed.
