The Mainland Independent Group (MIG), a socio-political pressure group located in Lagos State, has expressed confidence that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, will be inaugurated as Nigeria's next president on May 29th, 2023. During a prayer event for the President-elect, Ibrahim Megida, speaking on behalf of MIG, criticized individuals advocating for an interim government, referring to them as clowns deserving of sympathy.

According to Megida, a high-ranking member of the APC in Lagos who leads the group, attempts to block Tinubu's inauguration through the court system are pointless. He affirmed that Tinubu's win was solely attributed to divine intervention and not due to human efforts, and therefore, those who oppose his presidency should cease their calls for an interim government. Megida added that Tinubu's ascension to the presidency is a matter of fate and not the result of any human endeavor, and thus the opposition's attempts will be in vain.

In addition to the President-elect, prayers were offered for Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Tunji Bello, Ibrahim Odunboni, Monsuru Alao, and other members of the APC nationwide.
