Mr. Olatunji, a 54 years old man has committed su!c!de in the in Agege area of Lagos.

 According to report, the incident took place at about 8 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2024. 

 SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, who confirmed the incident on Monday said the deceased’s elder sister reported at the Elere police station located in the community that he took his own life in a store in their house. 

 “A complainant reported at the Elere Division stating that at about 8 pm of the same date, her younger brother, one Olatunji, a male, aged 54 years, committed suicide by hanging himself to dearth in the store of their house,” the PPRO said.

 “Officers of the division immediately visited the scene and the deceased was lowered and taken to the Orile Agege General Hospital, where he was certified dead." 

 Hundeyin stated that the preliminary investigations revealed no signs of violence on the deceased’s body. 

 He also added that the corpse had been transferred to the Mainland Hospital Mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy.
