On Monday, February 20, there was a gas plant explosion at a major gas plant in Effurun area of Warri, Delta state.

According to an eyewitness report, the explosion happened around 10:30pm on Monday and at the time of report no death was recorded .

Eyewitness words' "I saw it from far as Ginuwa road, and I suddenly saw huge red flames in the sky that just lasted some seconds and began to wonder what it was. Thanks to God for we have not recorded any casualty.”
