Mrs. Pauline Tallen, the former Minister of Women Affairs, was subjected to questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday in connection with alleged fraudulent activities. According to a reliable source within the commission, Mrs. Tallen, who arrived at the Abuja Zonal Command of the EFCC at 12 pm in response to an invitation, was still undergoing intensive interrogation by the commission's investigators until late Friday night.
While specific information regarding the allegations against the former minister remains limited, a knowledgeable source revealed that the accusations revolve around suspected involvement in corrupt practices amounting to N2 billion. It is claimed that a portion of the funds was diverted from the African First Lady Peace Mission Project.
Efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesperson of the Commission, for confirmation were unsuccessful, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
