The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressive Party governorship candidate, Governor Dapo Abiodun the winner of the just concluded governorship election which took place on March 18.

According to result released, Dapo the incumbent governor of the state defeated his rivals with a total vote of 276, 298, while Ladi Adebutu of People Democratic Party (PDP) had 262,383 votes. Africa Democratic Party Biyi Otegbeye polled 94,754 votes.
