Each of the Nigerian returnees from Sudan received N100,000 and Dignity Packs courtesy of The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF), distributed upon their arrival at the Abuja airport on Thursday, May 4th.

After the returnees arrived in Abuja, a representative of the Foundation, Maryam Buhari-Shehu, announced in a speech that the Board of Trustees had decided to participate actively in the evacuation and resettlement of thousands of stranded Nigerians in Sudan. According to her, the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) had registered a total of 362 returnees, including children, for the program on the first day, and 350 of them were given support.

She explained that the ADF collaborated with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and Air Peace, with the support of the Federal Government, to offer relief to the returnees.

Mrs. Buhari-Shehu, who was speaking on behalf of the ADF's Managing Director, Zouera Youssoufou, emphasized that the foundation would continue to assist the government in its humanitarian endeavors.
