CAN reveals Northerners kills Christian using allegation of Blasphemy

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) over the weekend had raised the alarm that allegations of blasphemy are becoming a defense  to kill Christians, especially in the North as it stands

"It said allegations of blasphemy had been false and just for blackmail or settling scores with passive enemies or well-mannered young girls who had refused sexual advances by the opposite sex from another religion.

CAN have called on government authorities and security agencies to act fast, to address the statement as soon as possible

“this abuse of our constitution before it leads to a more serious conflict that cannot be handled.”

Rev. Joseph John Hayab, the Vice-President of CAN in 19 Northern states and Abuja responded to the violence that broke out in Katangan area of Warji Local Government of Bauchi State over an alleged blasphemy.

"The Bauchi incident came barely two weeks after the killing of a 200 Level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, Deborah Samuel by Muslim fundamentalists over alleged blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed.
