In related news, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who is also nearing the end of his term, expressed yesterday that his commitment to improving Nigeria, alongside President Buhari, was the motivation behind hiring individuals with a strong desire to address the country's challenges. These comments were made during a valedictory dinner held in his honor by the staff of the Office of the Vice President in Abuja.

 

The Vice President was accompanied to the dinner by his spouse, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, whom he referred to as his "most powerful asset."

Osinbajo expressed his gratitude, saying, "I feel privileged to have collaborated with an exceptional team of individuals who demonstrated tremendous dedication and effort. I personally conducted interviews with most of you who served alongside me. I sought out individuals who possessed a deep affection and genuine concern for the advancement of our nation."

 

He further remarked, "The past eight years have passed by swiftly. Today, as we approach the inauguration, we can reflect upon numerous remarkable experiences and achievements, and I am pleased with the progress we have made thus far."

Osinbajo conveyed his appreciation to the staff for their unwavering commitment and love for their country, commending them for their support throughout the eight-year tenure of the Buhari Administration.

 

During the dinner, he received various presents, including personally written farewell messages from the members of the staff.

Emphasizing the remarkable potential of the nation to emerge as a global leader across various industries, the Vice President remarked, "Our country's narrative is one that is characterized by extraordinary talent. Wherever you look, you will find exceptional abilities."
