Indefinite suspension has been imposed on Nollywood actor Jerry Williams by the leaders of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) due to his involvement in drug abuse.

In a statement issued and signed by Mr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of AGN, it was revealed that the association has been closely monitoring Jerry Williams' actions since December. As a result of his persistent and excessive misuse of illicit drugs, the decision has been made to suspend him from all movie sets.

Furthermore, the statement elaborated that the decision to suspend Jerry Williams was made by the leadership of AGN to prevent any potentially hazardous situations on set that could endanger other actors.

Part of the statement reads as follows: "The Guild has been closely monitoring Jerry Williams' involvement in illicit substances since December of last year. Unfortunately, the situation has escalated to a point where it is no longer safe for him to work alongside other performers on set.

"Although he should have been suspended earlier, we initially gave him the opportunity to seek minor treatments, which he repeatedly failed to comply with. Given the current circumstances, Jerry poses a risk not only to himself but also to other actors who may be working alongside him.

"As a result, we have made the decision to suspend him indefinitely until he receives a clean bill of health from a medical practitioner or a professional specializing in drug abuse."
