A senior student known as Sandra, a student of Akoko Anglican Grammar School, Arigidi in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, has stabbed her fellow student Habib Salau to death.

 During an investigation, an eyewitness told newsmen in Akure that the two girls had engaged in a scuffle after school hours last Thursday. 

 “It was during the fight that the suspect stabbed the deceased with a knife,” the source said. The body of Habib has been deposited at the Specialist Hospital mortuary in Ikare. 

 During investigation, It was gathered that Sandra confessed that the knife used for the attack was provided by a student from Ajiroke Technical School. 

 Speaking to the newsmen, one of the teachers described the incident as tragic. 

 He also said the incident had caused serious tension in the school.

 Funmi Odunlami, the spokesperson of the command, who confirmed the incident said the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a thorough investigation. 

 The PPRO further promised that a police investigation would uncover the circumstances surrounding the death of the student.
