A young man identified as Thankgod, was beaten and tied up with a rope after he was allegedly caught stealing in Calabar, Cross River.

Sly Silva who shared the post on social media said the incident happened at Army estate, 8miles on Thursday, August 17, 2023. 

According to Silva, the suspect earlier stole a generator set. 

She claimed Thankgod returned to the area and stole a water metre but he ran out of luck. 

Thankgod hails from Ekori community in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River state.
